Winter Well-being for Festive Frazzle! ☃️

Well December is here, and in true December fashion, life seems to have suddenly become very busy! Here in the mountains the winter season is kicking off, and elsewhere the festive period brings with it all the fun, food and drink and festive cheer! 🎄

Winter, particularly the festive period, is the time when us humans tend to most resist and push against the rhythms of the natural world. All around us, nature is hibernating and turning inward - trees shed their leaves and energy flows down to their their roots, creatures and critters are bunkering down for the colder months, and darker days call for early nights and cosy evenings.

Yet here us humans are, frantically shopping for last minute gifts, having one too many at yet another Christmas party, or preparing for one of the busiest times in the season here in the mountains. It's fantastic fun, but does it sometimes leave you feeling a little festive frazzled?!

It's fun to go with the flow, but I promise your nervous system will thank you if you manage to consciously carve out some time for some calm during this busy period, and commit to doubling down on some seasonal self-care!

I've recorded a lovely balancing yin yoga practice for the winter months - short enough to squeeze into your busy schedule, and focused on consciously realigning with the slower, softer pace of winter, bringing you back into seasonal balance.

So get your comfies on, roll out your mat, and allow yourself some moments of peace to simply be at a time of year that can be go go go!

If you'd like to join me for some live online yoga, our online weekend wind down classes through December will a mindful mix of hatha flow and seasonal yin yoga, inviting an hour's calm and presence at the end of your weekend, setting you up for a week of ease ahead!

Or if you'll find yourself in the mountains, classes will be up and running in Tignes, Val d'Isère, Sainte Foy Tarentaise & La Rosiere through December :

You can save your spot here :

Or for a little extra TLC, why not book in for a massage? Using Swedish massage techniques to focus on soft-tissue and muscular tension, your massage will improve circulation, relieve tension, relieve stress and soothe body & mind to promote overall health and well-being.

Wishing you all the very best for your festive period, have fun, make merry, and see you on the mat soon! X
